Allegan Parks and Recreation

Description:

At the present time, the Allegan County Parks & Commission is responsible for eight parks, seven developed and one that is currently being developed. These facilities range in size from 4 acres to 320 acres and offer a variety of boating, swimming, fishing, camping, horseback riding, playground and other passive and active recreation opportunities. These properties comprise some of the most scenic land found in Western Michigan.

Bike, go boating or fishing, or just enjoy the natural outdoors; Allegan County has a favorite place for you to enjoy!

 

May 1st - September 30th, 8:00am - 9:00pm:

• *Littlejohn Lake for basketball, playgrounds, picnic areas, nature trails, volleyball and horseshoe areas.

• *Dumont Lake for swimming, boating, and picknicking.

• *Gun Lake for basketball, beaches, playgrounds, and picnic areas

• *Bysterveld (open until October 15) for nature trails, picnic areas, and fishing.

• *West Side for beaches, picknicking, and a ball diamond for softball and baseball.

• *Equestrian Trails for Horseback Riding

 

 

Open year round:

• *Ely Lake for camping 

• *Pine Point for camping and swimming.  

• *Silver Creek for camping, equestrian trails, and fishing
